Project-Based Creating
Proactive-Prevention-Preparation-Response-Aftercare
This training is designed to enhance project-based working within the safety and security sector. Participants learn not only to work in a goal-oriented and structured way, but also to develop sustainable solutions through collaboration and innovation. The approach encourages a systematic method for tackling societal challenges, delivering tangible results for both organizations and the wider community.
Practice-oriented learning centered on a participant’s own work-related topic
During the training, participants work on a current issue from their own professional field. This serves as the common thread for connecting theory to practice. Throughout the program, they receive guidance and feedback on their progress, culminating in a concrete and applicable project plan. After completing the training, participants will be able to:
- Collaborate in a goal-oriented and structured way within projects;
- Independently draft a plan of action;
- Contribute practically to solving current safety and security issues.
The following topics are covered during the training:
- The four project phases: initiation, definition, execution, and completion
- Structuring tasks and formulating clear objectives
- Creating activity plans
- Collaborations and process management
- Group dynamics and effective communication
- The control cycle (plan-do-check-act)
The training is highly practice-oriented. Participants work in groups on realistic case studies, aiming to develop and apply the skills learned. Collaboration is central, regardless of function or organizational background. Topics include:
- Actions during the various project phases
- Structuring tasks
- Formulating clear objectives
- Creating activity plans
- Developing a plan of action
- Applying the control cycle in real-life situations
The training concludes with a practice-oriented final assignment. This integrated assessment includes an intake interview and a digitally developed plan of action, both of which are evaluated. Upon full attendance and satisfactory results, participants receive an official certificate from the Bavpol Academy, demonstrating their competence in managing project-based work in the safety and security sector.
This training is designed for professionals in (or moving into) leadership roles within the safety domain. Examples include community police officers, coordinators, team leaders, and other key figures involved in designing and implementing project plans. The methodology is applicable to a wide range of safety and security issues, including crime prevention, nuisance control, disaster response, and crisis management.
