Content
This module is a continuation of the Bavpol Fundamentals course and is a practical module. We use case studies from the participants’ practice to provide tailored content. The module focuses on the ability to draft a written report of your own observations. As an enforcer, you will need to create a written report of your observations for various purposes. As an extraordinary police officer, you might draft a report or legal document, while as a compliance officer, you could compile an administrative report. The core of this module is the ability to objectively and factually describe an observation. This is a fundamental skill applicable to all forms of written reporting. In this module, you will learn to observe purposefully and effectively, and to accurately, concisely, and completely record the relevant findings in writing. You only describe what you actually observe and what is relevant—only what you see and hear, your reasons for knowing. You describe events in chronological order, consistently applying the 7 Ws, so that others can clearly understand what actually occurred.
Objective
Upon completion of the Observation & Reporting module, you will be able to create an objective and clear factual account of your observations and record them in a uniform manner.
Completion
During the final exam, your digital report will be evaluated. The method of reporting and the recording of specific observations will be tested. After the exam, you will receive a written result with an explanation. If the result is satisfactory, you will receive a certificate from the Bavpol Academy.
